Eimann Fabrik Engine Degreaser is the latest technology in 100% VOC FREE cleaning and degreasing. It uses a state-of-the-art, non-ionic surfactant developed in Sweden to replace the acid, butyl and butyl ethers normally used in engine degreasers. This new surfactant technology allows Eimann Fabrik Engine Degreaser to quickly and safely remove all manner of dirt, grime, oils, and grease from virtually any surface. This cleaner/degreaser is safe for use on painted and clear coated surfaces, plastic, fiberglass, aluminum, vinyl and rubber. It's also safe for your skin (it can actually be used as a hand cleaner!) and poses no threat for vapor inhalation.

Note:
Always check with your dealer before cleaning the engine for the first time to determine if there are any special precautions to be taken with your particular make and model of vehicle.

Cleaning Procedure:
Start the car and let it run for a few minutes. The engine should be warm but not so hot that you can not lay your hand on it.

Now turn the engine off and block the air intake to prevent water from entering the engine. If the air filter has an opening, I will plug it with a rag or fit a plastic bag over the opening with a rubber band. You may have to follow the air duct to the front grill to find the opening.

If you own a collector car with a distributor, you may want to cover it with a plastic bag or aluminum foil to keep it dry.

Newer vehicles have sealed coil paks and ignition modules. Over time, seals can become brittle and crack. If your vehicle is five or more years old, consider covering coil paks and ignition modules with aluminum foil before cleaning.

Spray the engine with water to remove loose dirt and debris.

Spray the engine with Engine Degreaser and let it soak for 1-2 minutes. Agitate heavy grease with a brush.

Thoroughly rinse engine using a garden hose. Remove any rags, aluminum foil or bags covering the air intake or ignition parts.

Blow dry engine with compressed air, a motorcycle/engine dryer or start engine and allow water to evaporate.

DETAILING TIP:
If you own a show vehicle with polished aluminum engine components (air cleaner, etc.), do not spray cleaner full strength or allow cleaner to soak or dry on the aluminum. Eimann Fabrik Engine Degreaser is a detergent cleaner but even mild detergents can white-stain polished aluminum. Spray aluminum parts with water, spray on cleaner, brush and rinse immediately or remove polished aluminum parts before cleaning the engine.
