Quite possibly the world's most advanced wheel cleaner, BLACKFIRE takes advantage of recent breakthroughs in chemical engineering to create a new class of cleaner. The new, non-ionic surfactant in BLACKFIRE Gel Wheel & Tire Cleaner quickly and safely cleans tires and all types of wheels including aluminum, clear coated, painted, polished and anodized. The active ingredient in this cleaner was developed by a Swedish chemical company to replace the acids and butyl ethers found in most tire and wheel cleaning products.

The vast majority of wheel cleaners contain butyl or butyl ether. Butyl is a highly effective cleaner and inexpensive. On the downside, butyl can white-stain aluminum, is very harsh on your skin (it dries skin on contact), can cause respiratory distress (coughing) if inhaled and is the subject of a continuing debate over environmental biodegradability. In short, it works and it's cheap but it's not friendly to people or the environment. Butyl has been legislated out of cleaning products in several European countries. Sweden leads the world in butyl-replacement research and development. The new ingredient in BLACKFIRE Gel Wheel & Tire Cleaner is the state-of-the-art in non-butyl cleaning technology.

To our knowledge, BLACKFIRE is the first American company to use this Swedish technology in a car care product.

BLACKFIRE Gel Wheel & Tire Cleaner is a 100% water-based cleaner! It contains no acids, no butyl of any kind and no petroleum distillates. It is safe for all wheel finishes including polished aluminum and clear coats. We combined this new, non-ionic surfactant with additional emulsifiers and wetting agents to allow it to quickly and safely remove all manner of dirt, road oils and brake dust from both tires and wheels.

Technical Note: This is not a spray on/hose off cleaner. It requires some agitation from a sponge or brush to break the bond between the brake dust and the wheel. Spray on/hose off cleaners are typically acid based which could harm the wheel's surface over time. A quick wipe with a sponge or brush is usually all it takes to remove even baked on brake dust and road grime.

There is no need to buy one cleaner for tires and another cleaner for wheels!

BLACKFIRE Gel Wheel and Tire Cleaner works equally well on rubber tires where it reaches deeply into the tire's pores to lift and remove oils, road grime and brake dust. It leaves both the tire and wheel squeaky clean.

Application Tips:

- Clean one wheel at a time.
- Spray wheel with water.
- Spray a fine mist of cleaner over entire tire & wheel.
- Allow cleaner to dwell for 10 - 20 seconds. For best results, agitate surface with a soft brush or sponge.
- Hose off thoroughly with a strong water spray.
- Dry tire and wheel with a clean towel.
